Zamfara Commissioner assures collaboration with Tiv Community to sharpen cultural tides

The Zamfara State Commissioner of Information and Culture, Hon Mahmud Mohammed Dantawasa has assured the Tiv Community of the state a harmonious working relationship in order to garner full support for the governor of the state, Governor Dauda Lawal to enable him succeed on his mandate of repositioning the state on the path of progress
The Commissioner gave the assurance when the State’s Tiv Paramount ruler (Ter Tiv Zamfara), His Highness, Dr Abaver Terkuram in company of some executive members of Mdzough u Tiv, Zamfara State, paid him a familiarization visit in his office in Gussau
The commissioner stressed the importance of harmonious working relationship, reiterating the crucial roles community leaders play in maintenance of unity, tolerance and peaceful coexistence in any given society
He commended the Tiv Monarch and his entourage for the visit, pledging that he would continue to work with the Tiv paramount ruler in Zamfara state towards sharpening the tides of cultural importance in the state.
“I want to commend the Tiv Community in Zamfara State under the leadership of Zamfara Tiv Paramount ruler, Dr Abaver Terkuram for taking time to pay me this Honourable visit.
“The administration of our principal, Governor Dauda Lawal is people centered. The governor aimed at all inclusive leadership irrespective of tribe, religion or social background of the people of Zamfara State.
“And I want to assure you that we will continue to work harmoniously with you towards sharpening the tides of cultural importance and maintenance of peaceful coexistence of the entire people of the state”. The Commissioner added
Earlier, the Ter Tiv Zamfara, His Highness, Dr Abaver Terkuram said, they were at the Commissioner’s office to familiarize with the government of the state and to also discuss important issues relating to Tiv history in Zamfara state, their cultural identity, socio-economy as well as their political contributions and supports to the current administration in the state
The Zamfara Tiv Paramount ruler who was in company of some executive members of Mdzough u Tiv, Zamfara State, were warmly received by the Hon. Commissioner and the management team.
