Governor Ishaku seeks forgiveness from Tarabans after losing Senate bid

After losing his bid to represent the people of Southern zone of Taraba State at the Senate, the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku has gone to church to seek for forgiveness from the people of Taraba State on areas he might had offended them.
The governor at a Special Easter thanksgiving Service at Anglican Church Mayo Dasa Jalingo, stated that as a leader who had led the state for almost eight years, it was likely that he might had offended so many people either knowingly or unknowingly in the course of discharging his duty as Executive Governor and so it was Biblical for him to openly appologise and seek for forgiveness from such people.
In his words, “Biblically, we are taught to forgive those who offend us. In this case, I am asking for those I have offended to forgive me. I did this in the house of God and if they did not forgive me, it is between them and God. For me, I have done my own duty by asking for forgiveness from every one I have offended”.
Governor Ishaku appreciated God for sustaining him with courage and wisdom to serve the people of the State effectively despite all the challenges that confronted his administration.
He lauded the people of Taraba State for their relentless support to the administration and urged them to extend the love they had shown him to the governor elect, Dantala Kefas Agbu to enable him to also succeed.
Harping on the developmental strides in the course of his administration, the governor noted that the administration had turned around the fortunes of the State as could be seen in the areas of Education, Agriculture, Aviation, Employment and other sectors.
In a sermon at the Easter Thanksgiving Service, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Jalingo, Foreman Nedison who spoke extensively on the resurrection of Jesus Christ, said the power behind the resurrection of Jesus Christ was a mystery that needs understanding.
He maintained that Easter was not a ceremony but an experience that come along with several lessons that could totally reshape the lives of followers of Jesus Christ.
The Clergy noted that the resurrection had bring about the power of deliverance from captivity to liberty and escape from shame and reproach into glory and honour, even as he stated that the resurrection had empowers humans to work in dominion.
The Thanksgiving Service featured presentation of awards to Governor Darius Ishaku for his developmental strides, peaceful disposition and good governance and his Wife Anna Darius Ishaku for championing the fight for a better life for the poor and the vulnerable in the Society.
The Governor was accompanied to the thanksgiving service by Member representing Kurmi State Constituency Tafarki Agbadu Eneme, Secretary to the State Government Anthony Jellason, Head of Service Suzy Jemima Nathan, Commissioners and other Aides.
