YEDC to Refund Overbilled Customers in 2023

Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) wishes to inform its esteemed customers that it will comply with Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) order issued to YEDC which indicates that distribution companies (Discos) across the country, including YEDC, had overbilled their customers in 2023 for noncompliance with NERC`S capping order.

As contained in a Press release signed by management and made available to Worldview, YEDC is working with the regulator to ensure that every customer that falls within this category will be given their commensurate refund as is their right.

YEDC urges its customers to be vigilant and not to give funds to anyone in exchange for any form of refund or other associated services. Such claims are fraudulent and should be reported to the nearest YEDC office or the customer care line on 09038853342.

YEDC assures its customers that every affected customer will be contacted by YEDC personnel and given instructions on the next line of action. Customers are also advised to always pass their enquiries to dedicated and authentic YEDC channels.

YEDC appreciates the patience and understanding of its customers and remains committed to providing quality and reliable electricity service in line with the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) approved by NERC.
