Taraba SGS tasks youths on entrepreneurship

The Secretary to the Government of Taraba State, Chief Barr. G.T Kataps has tasked youth in Taraba State and Nigeria at large on the need to embrace entrepreneurship and become employers of labour rather than aimlessly waiting to be employees
The SGS stated this during the 2025 CEO Impact Tour held in Jalingo, the Taraba State Capital.
He stated that when youth thrive and become owners of a particular business, they have ample opportunities, noting that it provides them a platform which they can leverage on to build themselves and other persons
The SGS charged the youth to take up the challenge and delve into any lucrative business with positive mind set and remain patient, hardworking and focus to earn money instead of waiting for white collar jobs that are sometimes hard to come by
“White collar Jobs are sometimes hard to secure. Youth must have to learn how to create jobs and become entrepreneurs so as to help themselves, their families and other persons. Continuously waiting for white collar job as a promising youth is not the best”. He stated
Meanwhile, Mrs Patience Oluseyi, the CEO of Impact Tour, had during the tour devised different strategies to train young CEOs and entrepreneurs
During the tour, the CEO held a panel discussion featuring; Deborah Ibrahim CEO of Debby Classic Restaurant, Abudllahi Kehinde, a fitness instructor, Hon. Nonso Gideon, Commissioner, Taraba State Ministry of Digital Economy, a representative from the Cooperate Affairs Commission and a fashion designer, where young entrepreneurs responded to basic questions that can help clarify notions on how to trademark a business especially in a global world.
The panel deliberation tackled issues of CEOS managing stress and physical fitness, resolving that managing challenges during the startup phase of a business requires passion and determination
The panel also stressed the importance of partnership with government and other institutions, noting that such cordial relationship enhance growth of any lucrative business
Participants at the event, expressed satisfaction with the program, stating that it had placed them in the right perspective to build businesses of their dream with the right mindset and plan.
