Ardokola, Lau, Karim’s reps member elect pledges to unite constituents

The Member House of Representatives elect for Karim, Ardokola and Lau constituency in Taraba State, Hon. Abdullahi M. Lauya, has pledged to work assiduously to unite the good people of his constituency when he is eventually inaugurated to commence his assignment at the green chamber.
Hon. Abdullahi made this pledge in Jalingo while addressing journalists shortly after he was declared winner as member representing the zone at the 2023 general elections.
He stated that, withing the first few months of the administration, he would endeavour as much as possible to tame down the spirit of distrust and disunity among his constituents and attend to their pressing needs through new innovations and programs that would draw vibrant young men and women out of the dreaded jaws of poverty.
Hon. Abdullahi assured his people that he would work tirelessly, transparently to ensure that his people reap true dividends of democracy
While assuring the people that his victory at the poll was the victory of the entire Constituency, Hon Abdullahi maintained that he would listen to all manner of people irrespective of tribe, ethnic group and religious background.
He said he would work side by side with the senator representing the zone and other stakeholders in the zone to get rid of insecurity and youth restiveness in the area, adding that he would do his best to justify the mandate given to him.
“I want to assure you that we will do our best to see how we can add valour to the development of our communities. We will first of all Unify our people and get their confidence. When we are able to do it through installation of justice, we shall then face the issue of insecurity in the area and tackle it headlong.
“We shall ensure that before our tenure runs up, we are able to tackle most of the needs of our constituency. I will continue to partner with other legislators in the area to see how we can lobby the Executive Arm of Government to complete the Jalingo Lau road. By the special grace of God, we shall deliver dividends of democracy to our people who willingly gave us their mandate”. He added.
The Member elect further called on the people of Ardokola, Lau and Karim Lamido Federal Constituency including religious leaders, traditional leaders, political leaders and those who contested alongside with him on the other political platforms to sheathe their sword and join hands with him to enable him deliver his responsibilities effectively.
Untill his election, Hon. Abdullahi M. Lauya of PDP had worked with PENGASEN for 24 years.
He emerged winner of the House of Representatives seat of Ardokola, Lau and Karim Lamido, Taraba State with a total votes of 34,238 after defeating his closest rival, Hon. Kabiru Bello Badawaire of APC who scored 33, 111 votes.
