  • A former National Deputy President and former chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) in Taraba State, Hon. Emmanuel George, popularly known as Emma George, has submitted his Indication of Interest and Nomination forms.

Hon. Emmanuel George who is contesting for the seat of the Taraba State House of Assembly Member representing Lau Constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stormed the Taraba State’s Secretariat of the party last Wednesday, 11th May, 2022 in company of unprecedented number of his supporters who were chanting songs and displaying placard showing their loyalty.

Interacting with journalists shortly after submitting the forms, Hon. Emmanuel George assured his supporters that if he is elected into the position, he would do everything possible to tame the tides of insecurity that is bedeviling the constituency.

The young man who lamented the reckless killings and other criminal activities in the area, revealed that it is becoming increasingly difficult for people of the constituency to travel from Jalingo to Lau by 7:00pm, the situation he said was not telling well to the peaceful existence and progress of the people of his constituency.

“A part from tribal and religious fights, our people are engulfed in different kinds of security challenges and I feel bad about it. I am confident that if I am elected, these issues will become things of the past.

“I will ensure that peace prevail in all the nooks and crannies of the Local Government. I will use the position to bring my people together and make them know that God himself know the reason why he brought all of us together. Because for me, peace is paramount and by the time we start enjoying real peace, we will have everything”. He stated”.

Hon Emma George reiterated that if he is elected, he would expand the scope of his Krystal Foundation, a foundation he singlehandedly raised, which has over the years being supporting the less privilege, widows and orphans among other classes of people in Taraba State.

The young political demagogue who said he had never wanted to contest for the position, revealed that his people had pressured him because of the love they have on him to come for their aid.

“Initially I did not want to contest for this position. My people are the ones that called me to come for it. They know that I am the right person that can protect and provide the needed and purposeful representation for them in the area. I want to assure them that I will not disappoint them”. He said.

While harping on the readiness of his part to seize power from the ruling PDP in the state, the young man who was The Former Vice President of the North East, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) and former Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Taraba State on Youth Development, noted that most members of the PDP in the state are already joining his party.

He insisted that ruling PDP would never challenge his party again and urged supporters to shun tribal and religious sentiment and work as a family to enable them succeed in 2023 general elections.
