Sequel to the speech made by the National President of the Nigerian Union of Pensioners during the 2019th edition of Pensioners’ Day, the Taraba state chapter of the pension board called on the Taraba State government to equally establish a radio station for the board in the state.

This appeal was contained in a speech of the National President of the Nigerian Union of Pensioners and was read by the state secretary of the council, Comrade Paul Tyav
Reading the speech on behalf of the national President, Comrade Tyav used the first Pensioner Radio Station in Africa 106 FM called the Voice of Liberation which was commissioned in Ibadan Oyo state as an epitome of the desired mechanism.

The voice of liberation 106.fm is considered a laudable achievement for the pensioners in the country and we look forward to recording such achievements, said the state Secretary.
Comrade Tyav still emphasizing on how important the radio station is, pointed out that it will help the council broadcast its pains and gains and also serve as a formidable link between the council and the public.

He therefore called on His Excellency Arch. Darius Ishaku to look into the council’s demand.
