Taraba Business expert urges youth to prioritize entrepreneurship

Daniel Mtindiga, Jalingo.

A Taraba based Entrepreneurship/Business expert and Chief Executive Officer of Taraba Business School, Sun TV, Super Cash, Taraba News and Super Car, Mr. Gabriel Olayinka has urged youth/women to embrace entrepreneurship especially in this fast evolving world.

He stated this in an exclusive interview with our Reporter in Jalingo the Taraba State capital.

Mr. Olayinka strongly emphasized on the paramount importance of entrepreneurship stating that, Society and the world generally has made a paradigm shift therefore, white color jobs are not much available compared to what use to be.

“You know the world is fast evolving. In the past before you even finish school, a job use to be on standby for you but now, there is a paradigm shift, we are having people/graduates in what I call geometrical progression. This means that, there is a wide range between the number of people we have now and the jobs available as such, people need to embrace the idea and concept of entrepreneurship/business.

“Since no body is willing to employ you, be ready to employ yourself by setting up a business and growing it even in the faces of emerging challenges. This will go a long way to help Society too.

“I believe that people need startup capital but the basic thing one needs first is, business idea. The reason why a lot of people get it wrong in business is because, they always think that is all about money me while, many went into business with huge amount of money but didn’t stand the taste of time,” he said.

He further pointed lack of viable ideas and consistency as great challenges confronting many beginners stating that, his success story is premised on consistency, diligence commitment and hard work while advising others to keep improving/expanding their businesses/ideas.

However, he called on the Government of Taraba State as well as the Federal Government to initiate/engage in programmes and policies that support entrepreneurship.
