
NPF provides free medical care to commemorate National Police Day in Taraba

As part of the build up of activities commemorating National Police Day, the Taraba State Police Command has offered free medical care to over three thousand patients in Taraba State
The two day exercise which commenced with officers and men of the Taraba State Police Command and eventually the general public, availed the people, opportunity to have free consultation and counseling, free HIV, BP, hepatitis A B C, and diabetes test as well as children vaccination among many other health services

Speaking at the police clinic after inspecting the entire exercise, CP Bretet Emmanuel Simon Psc, the Taraba State Commissioner of Police, said the Nigeria Police Force considers the health of it men and officers as well as those it secure as paramount, hence the decision to include the free medical care in the build up of activities earmarked to commemorate the annual event
The Commissioner of Police noted that the wellbeing of every person, especially police officers whose operations are very tasking, is very important, as such, there was every need for people to continue going for a routine check even after the exercise to enable them stay strong
He commended Kayode Egbetokun NPM, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), for working tirelessly to put up the event and encouraged men and Officers of the command as well as the general public to make the most use of the numerous activities lined up for the week

“These activities are aimed at showcasing the fact that we are not only securing the society but we are equally impacting on the society. We watch over everybody. The Police is the principal friend of everybody and I must assure you that we will continue to be inclusive in our activities”. He stressed

While expressing satisfaction with the level of tests and diagnosis given to the general public at the police clinic, CP Bretet lauded the resilience and commitment of CSP John Shehu, the Officer in Charge of Medical, Taraba State Police Command and encouraged him to keep making the Nigeria Police Force proud.
Earlier in his comment, CSP John Shehu, the Officer in charge of Medical, Taraba State Police Command, stressed the importance of routine test, especially among security agencies and encouraged the general public to consider the time as another opportunity to redesign their health by checking their status

CSP John appreciated the Inspector General of police, the Force Medical and the Taraba State Commissioner of police for doing so much to ensure that they carry out the exercise successfully
Meanwhile, some of the beneficiaries, including Mamuda Usman, Maiangwan Turaki A, the host community and Mrs Rose Habila, who spoke with our reporter applauded the Taraba State police Command for the kind gesture and prayed God to reward the organizers of the event//.
