Gov Kefas celebrates DSK @60, lauds his charity works

Gov. Agbu Kefas of Taraba State, has commended the philanthropic works of Chief David Sabo Kente, a Taraba State Business mogul and philanthropist fondly known as DSK
The governor gave this commendation at the occasion of a special thanksgiving service, marking the 60th Birthday of Chief DSK organized in Wukari, the administrative headquarters of Wukari LGA of Taraba State.
He stated that Taraba State was lucky to have such a philanthropist whose generosity had touched many lives positively both within and outside the state
The governor noted that in recognition of Chief Kente’s positive contributions to the service of humanity in the state, his administration was considering building a new general hospital in Wukari, and would name it after Chief David Sabo Kente.
He therefore, requested Chief DSK to assist the government with a parcel of land within Wukari LGA, suitable for the project.
“I want to commend the celebrant, Chief David Sabo Kente for doing so much on touching lives positively most especially, the less privileged in our state
“My administration is intending to build a new general hospital in Wukari and would name it after Chief David Sabo Kente in recognition of his philanthropic works in the state’. The governor added.
He further encouraged Chief DSK to mentor the up coming persons in the state to grow up and be impactful to the society, adding that good people live inheritance for their children.
His Majesty Chief Sopiya Ahmadu, Chief of Takum, in his speech, thanked Kente for his support to humanity and wished him more years and prosperity in all his social endeavours.
In a sermon at the Christian Reformed Church of Nigeria CRCN Kinkiso, Rev Isaiah Magaji Jirapye encouraged the congregation to always return to God with thanksgiving, emphasizing that God deserves praises at all times
Earlier, Chief Sabo Kente who thanked the governor and all other dignitaries who converged to honor him at the occasion, appreciated God for sustaining his life and for giving him the grace to clock 60 years of age.
He prayed God to open more ways for him, expressing his determination to continue serving humanity in better ways ahead
Our reporter gathered that Chief Kente earlier facilitated the freedom of 15 prisoners who were serving their jail terms in Wukari Correctional Center and donated N1 million as fare to the freed prisoners.
