Worldview Magazine Honors Brig. KC Uwa With ‘Crime Fighter of the Year’ Award.

Worldview Magazine, a leading private media organization in Taraba State, has honored Brigadier General Kingsley Chidebere Uwa, Brigade Commander of the 6 Brigade/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke, with a Leadership Excellence Award of ‘Crime Fighter of the Year 2024’.

The award was presented to General Uwa by Comrade Matthew Eliud Jen, Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists Taraba State Council, when the Worldview team and some veteran journalists payed him a courtesy visit at the 6 Brigade’s headquarters in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.

The Editor in Chief of the Worldview Magazine, Mr Eilliams Ayooso who led the team said General Uwa has demonstrated exceptional leadership and determination in combating crime and criminality in the state.

“The award will serve as a motivation for him to do more in ensuring that Taraba remains a safe place for its citizens, of course with the support of the media who are key partners in the fight againts crime” Mr. Ayooso added.

“Our visit here is not just a Worldview Magazine affair, but rather an offshoot of the media industry. We have observed the security environment closely, and we have a realistic impression that under General Uwa’s leadership, the 6 Brigade has done a great job. The evidence of his good work is manifested in every sphere of public and community life in Taraba State.” Ayooso said.

General Uwa, in his response, appreciated Worldview Magazine for recognizing his efforts and those of his team in the fight against insecurity and crime in the state.

“This award is not just a mark of honor, but a reminder that I have a bigger task to undertake for the safety of the good people of Taraba State and beyond,” he said.

General Uwa reiterated the unwavering commitment of the 6 Brigade to fighting crime and criminality in the state, stressing that Taraba will not be a safe haven for criminals.

“I want to assure you of the unwavering support of the 6 Brigade. Since I assummed office here at the 6 bridge, we have enjoyed a good working relationship with the media and you have demonstrated professionalism and diligence in your reprmortage throughout the last year” Uwa stated.

In their separate goodwill messages, The NUJ Chairman, Comr Mathew Jen, the Correspondents Chapel Chairman, Mr Gabriel Yough and the SA to the Governor on Digital Economy Hon. Justine Tyopoosu all agreed that the 6 Brigade under Gen Uwa has demonstrated exceptional leadership in fight against crime.

They also enjoined the Bridage to continue leveraging on the synergy with media in the state in order to rid the state of all forms of crime and criminality.
