Woman Leader celebrates court victory,
lauds Gov. Kefas on women inclusiveness

The Governor of Taraba State Dr Agbu Kefas has been commended on his exemplary leadership style of women inclusiveness in his administration.
The Women Leader of Taraba State Tiv Cultural & Social Association, Mrs Iyo Lucy Temaji said this in our exclusive chat with our reporter in Jalingo.
Mrs Lucy Temaji also felicitated with the Governor Kefas and the good people of Taraba State over the Supreme Court Judgment that affirmed Gov Kefas victory as a genuinely elected Governor of Taraba State.
The woman Leader, who described the judgment as a vindication of the collective will of the Taraba people, said the verdict calls for celebration. She therefore called all women in the state to celebrate the judgment, bearing in mind the gender sensitive antecedents of the Governor and the stability that it will bring to bear on the governance in the state.
“Even with the distractions from the court cases, which lingered for many months, our governor proved his mettle as a focussed leader and refused to be distracted. Now that the cases are over, he will be more at peace with his mind and more proactive, to carry on the laudable developmental strides that he has initiated in the state.
“The carry go verdict of the apex court has strengthened the Governor Kefas victory at the polls. It has erased all the doubts and the negative permutations in the political arena, promoting the fact that Kefas is indeed the person that Tarabans wanted and voted as their Governor.
The Woman leader spoke in glowing terms on the wider opportunities that the Governor has provided in his administration, to enable women showcase their capabilities.
“He is gender sensitive. Looking at the number of women in his administration, you will discover his fairness and women inclusiveness in the mainstream governance. This is what we, women have been agitating for some time, but with Kefas we got it on the platter of gold. Hitherto, it was a men’s world. But Governor Kefas demystified this concept by changing the narrative. That is why his victory calls for celebration, by all women and youths within and outside the state.
Lucy Tameji called on women in the Kefas Agbu administration, to be good ambassadors of women folks so that the “what a man can do a woman can do better” mantra, will be justified.
