Taraba PDP express absolute readiness ahead of ward congress.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP),Taraba state Chapter has expressed absolute readiness ahead of the party’s congress schedule to hold tomorrow August 10 the,2024
The party’s publicity secretary Honorable Andeteram Irarimam disclosed this in a briefing with Journalists at the Party’s state secretariat in Jalingo after a closed door meeting of the party’s leadership.
Honorable Andeteram maintained that the party has put all necessary arrangements/preparations that will ensure the success of the congress aimed at electing seventeen ward officials and three adhoc delegates across the one hundred and sixty eight wards of Taraba state have been concluded.
“Tomorrow by His grace,the congresses will hold across the one hundred and sixty eight wards of Taraba state. The congress is planned to elect seventeen ward executives and three Ad hoc delegates.
“The party is ready and as you can see,the atmosphere here is charged. All preparations and arrangements have been concluded.We are at the point of sending our returning officers to their various points of duties,”he stated.
Mr. Andeteram debunked the alleged claims of fracas within the party stating that,the PDP at the state level is not aware of any internal crises as they are relating well with their members at the local government levels.
“The party at the state level is not aware of any issues of in house fightings because we have been consulting with party structures at the local government levels and we have not receive complains of any form of fracas
Or misunderstanding from those areas.
“As far as we are concerned,all our arrangements are perfect and the congresses will hold tomorrow across Taraba state,”he maintained.
He noted that all the card carrying members of the party would fully participate in the ward congresses.
“Every card carrying member will participate in the congress. It is an elective congress where the stakeholders at those levels agreed among themselves,they would have consensus Candidates but if there are disagreements,the card carrying members of the party would file up behind their preferred candidates and elect them,”he maintained.
He however disclosed that,they are operating within the stipulated guidelines of the party’s national secretariat adding that those who have interest must fulfill all the necessary requirements as stipulated.
