Security: Department of Defence Communication activates toll free line

The Department of Defence Communication, Nigeria Army has activated toll-free line for all defence led- joint Task Force Operation for individuals to report issues of insecurity in their respective communities
A press release duely signed by the Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Captain Olubodunde Oni and issued to journalists in Taraba State, identified the toll free-line as 0800020205
The release indicates that the decision was in compliance with the directives of the Chief of Defense Staff to facilitate quick response of security agencies, especially the army to security issues across the country
The release held that, the toll free lines are earmarked to be deployed in the head quarters of all defence led operations and the defense Head quarters Joint operations centers
“Following the Chief of Defense Staff Directives, the Department of Defense Communication activated toll-free lines for all defence led- joint Task Force Operation for individuals in their respective communities to report issues of insecurity
“The toll free lines are earmarked to be deployed in the head quarters of all defence led operations and the defense Head quarters Joint operations centers
“The lines are available for emergency and complaints respectively in each head quarters joint Task Force
“In view of this, you are required to disseminate the toll free line 0800020205 to the populace for reporting incidence of insecurity in the state”. The release reads in part.
