The National Body of the Community of Tiv Students Worldwide, has draped a traditional leader, Zaki Michael Demenongo Tyobee, with an award of leadership excellence. Zaki Michael Tyobee is the Tyoor of Bali B Ward in the Tiv Traditional Leadership of Bali Local government area of Taraba State.
The award title “Tine Iwasen U CTS Worldwide”, meaning, Pillar of CTS Support, was presented to him in his home town in Bali LGA by the CTS National President, Comrade Mark Elias Tortondo in company of some CTS Exco as well as other high-profile personalities, in the presence of some high ranking Tiv traditional rulers in the area.
In his remarks during the award presentation, the National President of CTS Comr. Mark Elias noted that the Royal Father was honored in recognition of his exceptional leadership strides and dedication towards community service and sustainable development.
He described Zaki Michael Tyobee as a Pillar, Peace Ambassador, beacon of hope, epitome of humility and above all, a great Community Leader and father, whose unalloyed support and commitment towards the growth and development of CTS and the Tiv Community is unwavering.
Earlier in his remarks, Zaki Michael Tyobee appreciated the CTS National Leadership for finding him worthy of such great honour and recognition, even he his revealed that the award will spur him to do more.
“Little did I know that what I was doing within the confines of my conscience, with the only concern for humanity and welfare of my people has caught the attention of Tiv Students worldwide. I’m so happy with the award and I promise that I will not take it for granted”
He stated.
He further dedicated the award to God Almighty, his beloved family and the Tiv Traditional Council of Bali Local Government Area and Taraba State at large.
