64th Independence: Tinubu’s Administration taking Nigeria Back to Square one- NARTO Boss.

By Christiana Babayo

Chairman of the Taraba State Chapter of the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners, NARTO, Alh Hamman Adama Tukur has slammed the Tinubu led Administration for taking Nigeria back to square in the last year.

The Chairman who made this call while speaking to our reporter on the 64th Independence of Nigeria said Nigerians are at the edge and if nothing is done, people will will no longer be able to survive.

“The country is no doubt facing a very difficult time. Parents can’t face their children, husbands can’t face their wives because times are hard and no one is finding anything easy. People are starving and some are even dying. The administration at the Federal level has taken us aback and at this point we can only pray for succor from the Almighty.

“It is unfortunate that on this day, Nigerians are unhappy when they should be celebrating the anniversary of our country’s Independence. So many people have been thrown off balance, even those who were managing are now hanging by a thread, not to talk of the common man.

“Nevertheless, we have to thank the Almighty for keeping us alive to this very point, we pray that we will come out of this in one peace and we also pray that eventually the government will go to the hands of those who have the interest of people at heart” he said.

Hamman Adama stated that despite the hardship, at the state level Governor Agbu Kefas is doing his best by putting the people of Taraba state first. It is in this spirit that he urged Tarabans to remain calm and have faith in the government

Responding to payment of minimum wage as a means of bringing succor to civil servants, he charged Tarabans to remain in anticipation as Gov Agbu has never failed to fulfill his end of the bargain.

“On the payment of minimum wage, comparing Taraba state with other states on the issue of minimum wage is completely unfair and that thought is birth out of bitterness. Everything is carefully planned by our government and our Governor works for is the interest of the people. Gov Kefas is not a man who makes promises without seeing it to the end” he said.

He called on Nigerians to begin to retrace their steps even from now, ahead of the next elections and vote wisely, devoid of any form of sentiments, stressing that a country that is free from biases of any form will definitely flourish.

He also commended Nigerians for their resilience and called on the Federal Government to find ways to assuage the suffering of the people sooner rather than later.
