Taraba Speaker debunks rumour of his withdrawal from guber race

The Speaker, Taraba State House of Assembly, Hon. Prof. Joseph Albasu Kunini has debunked the rumour making the round that he has withdrawn from the 2023 Taraba State governorship race.
A statement signed by the Chief of Staff to the Speaker, Mr. Sukuji Bakoji and made available to the press, the Speaker observed with dismay, the rumour which he noted is being orchestrated and peddled by his traducers and adversaries, describing it as a blatant lie from the pit of hell.
Part of the statement reads, “our attention has been drawn to the rumour making the round that the Hon. Speaker of Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Prof. Joseph Albasu Kunini (MP) has withdrawn from the Taraba State governorship race.
“We want to notify the general public that the rumour is orchestrated and peddled by his traducers and adversaries and is nothing but a blatant lie from the pit of hell.
“The Speaker is still in the governorship race. He is an astute politician, brilliant accountant, financial expert, quintessential legislator, boardroom technocrat, philanthropic par excellence and, above all, a visionary and valiant leader, all rolled into one.
“What’s even more, he possesses the pedigree, intellectual capacity and impeccable leadership qualities to consolidate and solidify the giant strides and infrastructure revolution of His Excellency, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku, the Captain of the Rescue Mission.
“His VISSION is to provide good governance to the people by creating an enabling environment that guarantees security, promotes socio-economic development through partnership and collaboration just as his mission is to transform Taraba State from rural to model State and launch it to one of the top ten economies in the federation, as well as ensure peace and security by building a united and peaceful State based on equity and mutual respect for all the citizens, irrespective of tribe, religion and status”.
The statement also revealed that the Hon. Speaker’s manifesto tagged, THE ALKINJOH REVOLUTIONARY MANIFESTO is a SOCIAL CHARTER which contains different sectors of the economy and possible solutions that underpin the wellbeing and welfare of Tarabans.
It emphasized that the Professor is fit for the job and he remains the right man to takeover the mantle of leadership from Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku comes 2023 even as the Speaker urged his teeming supporters, admirers and well wishers to ignore the rumour of his purportedly withdrawal from the governorship race in the State.
