POMP, FANFARE, AS KUR-JIBU
CORONATES DISTRICT HEADS

It was a pleasant moment and jubilation galore, at the twin coronations of Alhaji Koli Isa Yarima, as District Head of Wurbo, Sarkin Yamma of Jibu-Bali and Alhaji Yakubu Garba, as District Head of Bungah, Sarkin Sudan of Jibu-Bali. The ceremony was conducted at the instance of Kuru Jibu, HRH Alhaji Abubakar Mahmoud Adamu.
The event, which witnessed a mammoth crowd, showcasing eminent personalities from far and near, took place on Saturday, 19th February, 2022 at the Kur- Jibu Palace, Bali Local Government Headquarter.
Addressing the crowd in attendance, soon after the coronation rites, Kur-Jibu, HRH Abubakar Mahmoud Adamu tasked the two traditional rulers to be fair in their dealings with their subjects. He advised them to key into the Governor Darius Ishaku agenda in ensuring a peaceful existence between their subjects in the domains.
On the security situation in the area, the Kur-Jibu revealed that traditional title holders in the Chiefdom have bought motorcycles, handsets, torchlight and cutlasses, to be distributed to vigilante groups in the area for security surveillance.
He also warned kidnappers and other criminal elements to turn a new leaf; hence they will meet their waterloo, if the chiefdom invoke its prayer power.
Also speaking at the event, Executive chairman Bali LGA, Prince Musa Mahmud, charged the people of the chiefdom to be their brothers’ keepers and imbibe the culture of patience and forgiveness in all their activities. He charged the new tradition rulers to be good ambassadors and work closely for the common progress of the local government in particular and the state at large.
Speaking to our reporter at his palace in Gazabu, soon after the coronation, Alhaji Yakubu Garba, District Head of Bungah and Sarkin Sudan of Jibu-Bali, said he was overwhelmed with joy. While appreciation Governor Darius Ishaku and the Kur-Jibu over his appointment and successful coronation, the Sudan said he was going to do justice to all people in his domain, irrespective of tribe and religion. While emphasizing that his reign will never tolerate criminal elements, he called on his subjects to cooperate and support him, so that he will give them his best.
Meanwhile, there was jubilation galore by the Tiv people of Gazabu over the coronation of Alhaji Yakubu Garba as the District Head of Bungah. Speaking to our reporter in Gazabu, a community leader, Zaki Christopher Mbaav Gomna, said the Tiv people of Gazabu are well pleased with the development. Zaki Gomna, who is the Mue Ter in Bali 1 Constituency, told our reporter that it is the prayer of every Tiv man in the area that God should give their new District Head, long life, good health and a volume of wisdom that is similar to that of King Solomon in the Bible. He however appealed with the Sarkin Sudan to help them in ensuring that their farm lands are safe and protected.
Also speaking, another community leader Iornenge Uwua Zeka, said they are happy because they know HRH Yakubu Garba Bunga a honest, fair and just person and with him on the seat, the people of the domain will be safe, happy and comfortable.
