Hon. Jauro Hassan bestowed with Award of Excellence

The Chairman of Jalingo Local Government Council, Hon. Dr Aminu Jauro Hassan, has received an honorary award of leadership excellence, from the Dr Agbu Kefas Community Centre for Dialogue. Hon. Aminu Jauro is also the Chairman of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, Taraba State chapter.
The award ceremony which took place on Saturday in Wukari town, Taraba State, had other honorees on the list, including the mother of the Governor of Taraba State, Mrs. Esther Kefas, affectionately known as Mama Atsi.
On the substance of the award, Hon. Dr Jauro Hassan was captured and celebrated for his impactful leadership and dedication to the progress and developmental strides of Jalingo Local Government Area in particular and Taraba State at large.
“The award underscores Dr. Hassan’s unwavering commitment to promoting dialogue, unity, and sustainable development within Jalingo metropolis and across Taraba State.” Says a Jalingo based community leader, who spoke with our reporter on condition of anonymity.
Mother of the Governor, Mrs. Esther Kefas, popularly known as Mama Atsi, on the other hand, was honoured as “Mother of Taraba” and a “Guiding Figure” to His Excellency Dr. Agbu Kefas, Executive Governor of Taraba State.
Other personalities who the Centre recognized for their outstanding contributions to community development and social cohesion, include: Hon. Agbu Samaila Dauda, Executive Chairman of Wukari Local Government and ALGON Vice Chairman of Taraba State, a distinguished academic and statesman, Prof. Senator Dalhatu Umaru Sangari, as well as General Adamu Tubasen Ibrahim, who was also honoured for his service and contributions to the state.
Dr. Jauro Hassan was represented at the occasion by Alhaji Rizi, who received the award on his behalf.
