The District Head of Jalingo, Galadiman Muri, Alhaji Tukur Lamido Tukur, has praised the Taraba State Governor, His Excellency Dr. Agbu Kefas, for his good work and developmental strides across the state.
The traditional ruler said Governor Kefas has brought fresh hope to the people of Taraba with his people-friendly programs, especially in education, security, and youth empowerment. However, while showing appreciation, Galadiman Muri made a passionate appeal to the governor not to forget Jalingo — the state capital and the gateway to Taraba.

Speaking in his palace, Alhaji Tukur Lamido said, “We are proud of the governor for his efforts so far, but we also want him to look into the road network in Jalingo. The roads are very important because Jalingo is the first place visitors see when they enter the state.”
He explained that bad roads in the state capital not only give a bad image of Taraba but also make life difficult for the residents and businesses in Jalingo.
The Galadiman Muri noted that as a fast-growing city, Jalingo needs modern roads, good drainage, and proper maintenance of its streets.
“Jalingo deserves better roads,” he said. “This will boost economic activities, attract investors, and also make movement easier for our people.”
He further called on the government to give special attention to the capital city, especially in terms of road construction, rehabilitation of bad roads, and improvement of internal road networks.
While showing confidence in Governor Kefas’s leadership, the traditional leader expressed hope that the governor will respond to the appeal and make Jalingo a model city in Taraba State.
The Galadiman Muri concluded by praying for the success of the Kefas administration and the peace and progress of Taraba State.
