Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani has made history by emerging as the first female gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of APC in Adamawa States
Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani has became victorious after defeating 6 gubernatorial aspirants in the just concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State.
Binani who is the current senator representing Adamawa central senatorial zone scored 430 votes to emerge victorious in the keen contes
Former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Malam Nuhu Ribadu emerged the first runner up with 288 votes.
The immediate past governor of Adamawa State, Muhammad Umar Jibrilla Bindow emerged in third position with 103 votes while Abdulrazak Namdas clinched the fourth place with 94 votes.
Similarly, Umar Mustapha Madawaki and Wafarniyi Theman respectively clinched fifth and sixth position in the contest.
The primaries which started yesterday evening, came to its climax Friday morning after a lot of political struggles and speculations of delegates buying against Binani who emerged victorious in the contest.
