TARABA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY RECEIVES THREE EXECUTIVE BILLS

The Taraba State House of Assembly has received three executive bills from Dr. Agbu Kefas, the Governor of Taraba State on 28 January 2025.

The bills received all aim at improving governance and infrastructure in the state.

The first bill received is, the Taraba State Mortgage and Property Board (Establishment) Bill 2025 which seeks to established Mortgage and Property Board to streamline property and mortgage administration within the state.

The second is Taraba State Transport and Safety Administration Modification Law (Establishment) Bill 2025 which seeks to modify the existing framework of Taraba State, to ensure safety and regulatory oversight.

The third is the Amendment Bill for the Advanced Teacher’s College Jalingo Law Cap 5 of Taraba State 1997, which intends to upgrade the Advanced Teacher’s College in Jalingo to align with current educational standards and requirements.

The members of the State legislature have expressed their readiness to deliberate on the bills, ensuring they undergo a detailed review process. This includes committee scrutiny and stakeholder engagement to enhance the state’s development
