AMASCO International Ltd empowers 50 mechanics in Taraba.

AMASCO International Ltd, an international company that manufactures engine lubricating oil has empowered 50 members of Nigerian Automobile Technicians Association of Nigeria (NATA), from Taraba State with tool boxes and pinafores worth over 25 million naira to enhance their general performances in their various shops.
At a ceremony organized by the Company at the Gym Hall of Joly Nyame Stadium Jalingo, the company presented complete set of tools box alongside one pinafore to each of the 50 mechanics who were selected through raffle draw at the event.
Interacting with the press at the event, the Head of Marketing of the company, Alh Abubakar Matazu, said the empowerment program was taking place in all the 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory.
Abubakar who described the program as a reciprocal effort of the company towards NATA noted that the company had Previously presented 50 of the materials in Adamawa, 80 in Gombe, 50 in Jigawa, 50 in Bauchi and so on.
“What you see today is a demonstration of the cordial relationship that has been existing between AMASCO International Ltd and Nigerian Automobile Technicians Association of Nigeria (NATA). We are the only company that Signed a memorandum of understanding of a working relationship with NATA. So we feel that mechanics cannot do without these
tools. It is our belief that as we go on with this, those of them who cannot afford these tools but are opportune to have them from us will use them effectively. We also hope that the act will go a long way to sustain AMASCO-NATA relationship and the mechanics relationship with their customers.
“AMASCO International Ltd does not take the relationship with its customers for granted. That is why at the time Covid-19 was ravaging this nation, the company was able to share bags of rice worth over forty-five million naira to all the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory. We will continue to serve our customers; we will continue to sustain the high quality of our products for their good”. He stated.
Also speaking, the National President of the Nigerian Automobile Technicians Association of Nigeria (NATA), Alh. Magaji Sani called on the Federal Government to sustain and expand the training of its members through the National Automatic Design and Development Council (NADDC) to enable them meet up with the trends and challenges associated with modern vehicles.
The President who said there was no sector in Nigeria growing as fast as the Automobile sector, noted that it is only in Automobile that you could see an engine today and tomorrow you see a different one.
“In those days, machines were analog so anybody could easily work on them but these days, machines have gone digital and thus requires adequate knowledge before they are repaired when they break down. We therefore need government attention in this regard”. He stated.
Alh. Magaji applauded AMASCO company for empowering mechanics around the country and expressed hope that beneficiaries would use the items judiciously to also give other youth a job.
Earlier, the chairman of NATA, Taraba State chapter, Mr. Gabriel wilson and the Secretary of the association in Taraba state, Taufiiq Lawan all commended the national secretariat of the association under the able leadership of Alh. Magaji Sani for its efforts towards transforming the sector.
The two leaders who applauded AMASCO international Ltd for the show of love to the association, encouraged the beneficiaries to use the items and train their relatives to also join them on the job to reduce idleness in the country.
Meanwhile, the occasion which featured presentation of awards to distinguished personalities and different performances by members of NATA, was graced by five executive chairmen in the state including that of Bali, Hon. Musa Mahmud.
