Taraba ALGON boss swears-in officials, assures residents inclusive governance

The Chairman, Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) Taraba State Chapter, and chairman, Jalingo Local Government Area, Hon. (Dr.) Aminu Jauro Hassan, has inaugurated new Supervisory Councilors, Advisers and chief of staff of Jalingo Local Government to facilitate effective governance and community development in the Council
At an inaugural ceremony which was grace by traditional leaders, religious leaders and high profile personalities of the Council, Hon. Jauro assured the people of the Local Government Area that his administration would continue to embrace all persons irrespective of their religion and social backgrounds
He debunked the allegations earlier peddled against him on several social media platforms accusing him of one sided appointments, describing it as baseless, unfounded and inimical to the peace and progress of the council
The Chairman, urged youths to desist from acts capable of obstructing the peaceful coexistence being enjoyed by the good people of the Council, pledging that his administration would continue to work assiduously to initiate programs and policies that have direct bearing on the lives of the people in order to complement the Moving forward Agenda of the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas
He pledged to prioritized security and welfare of the people and called on Tarabans to embrace the governor’s efforts towards building a new Taraba, pointing out that the task was a shared vision that all hands must be on deck to achieve.
While congratulating the new supervisory councilors, advisers and the chief of staff of the Local Government, Hon. Jauro lauded their willingness to serve their community in the various capacities, adding that their willingness to serve their people, reflects their dedication to transform the Council, even as he expressed full Confidence in their abilities to fulfill the duties entrusted on the
The ALGON Chairman, called on the new officials to always play complimentary roles by working collaboratively with all the stakeholders of the council in order to sustain the accelerated development and absolute peace of the people in the area.
“Effective governance requires collaboration and cooperation among all stakeholders, including elected officials, appointed representatives, and most importantly, the people we are privileged to serve. I encourage open Communication, constructive dialogue, and active engagement with residents to ensure that their voices are heard and their needs are prioritized in our decision-making processes.
“As we collectively embark on this journey, it is important that we reaffirm and reiterate our commitment to the principles of transparency, accountability, and inclusivity. The responsibilities bestowed upon you are not merely positions of authority, but rather opportunities to make tangible, positive impacts on the lives of our our people.
“Let us not forget the significance of teamwork and unity in achieving our collective goals. It is through synergy and mutual support that we can maximize our effectiveness in addressing the challenges and opportunities facing our local government. I urge you to approach your roles and responsibilities with humility, integrity and a genuine desire to serve the best interests of our community”. He stressed.
The Chairman further expressed profound gratitude to the people of Jalingo Local Government for their continued trust, support and participation in the democratic process and urged them to continue in same optimism, determination, and a shared vision for a prosperous and inclusive future of the council.
