LG boss scores Army high on professional operation in Taraba Community

Hon. Bitrus Ilu Danjos, Executive Chairman, Karim Lamido Local Government Area, has commended the gallant troops of 6 Brigade Nigerian Army/ Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) for their recent successes in clearing bandits from the area and restoring peace to the LGA.
The commendation follows the Brigade’s ongoing clearance operations, code named OPERATION LAFIYAN JAMAA, which had led to the destruction of over 70 bandit camps, recovery of assorted weapons and ammunition, and the restoration of relative peace across the general area of Karim Lamido LGA.

Speaking during a courtesy visit to the troops’ camp in Andamin community on Sunday, 13 April 2025, Hon. Danjos, accompanied by his entourage, expressed profound appreciation for the dedication and commitment of the troops.
He praised the pragmatic leadership of the Commander 6 Brigade, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, under whose command, the operations record significant achievements.
In support of the troops’ efforts, the Chairman presented a cash donation and assured them of his continued support towards ensuring sustained peace and security in the area.
Receiving the Chairman and his team, the Commander 6 Brigade, represented by Lieutenant colonel D Otobo, appreciated the Chairman’s thoughtful gesture and reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to maintaining peace in the region.

He assured the visiting delegation that the troops would continue to work assiduously to protect the lives and property of law abiding citizens in Karim Lamido and its environs.
Brigadier General Kingsley Uwa emphasized that 6 Brigade Nigerian Army would remain resolute in its mandate to defend the territorial integrity of the nation and ensure internal peace and stability
He further encouraged members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies, adding that such collaboration remains vital to supporting ongoing operations and enhancing the safety and security of the people of the communities//
