Gov Kefas sues for religious tolerance as Muslim celebrate Sallah

As Muslim faithful celebrates Sallah worldwide, the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas has urged for religious tolerance between the different faiths across the state and the nation at large

The governor in a press statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications, Hon Emmanuel Bello and issued to journalists in Jalingo, stressed that the lessons of sacrifice and discipline of Ramadan should continue even after the exercise.

While commending the relationship that exist between the different faiths in the state, the governor said it was noteworthy of note that all the two main faiths in the state have been celebrating their religious festivals together.

He stressed that Taraba state is one of the states that are strengthened by the diversities across tribes and faith, adding that with unity, the state can do more in the area of development and progress.

“I wish to congratulate our Muslim brothers in the state for a successful completion of Ramadan and I wish them a great Eid-El- Fitr.

“As we continue our celebration, I want to remind us of the need for prayers for our great. Our nation needs prayers and selfless service by both the leadership and the followership to overcome all the challenges.

“I also want to assure you that my administration will continue to carry everyone along, irrespective of their faiths or ethnicity, in the distribution of the dividends of democracy.

“We shall not leave any stone unturned in the provision of security even as we shall continue to battle poverty and hunger to make life easy for all the citizens”. The governor stated.

He reiterated his commitment to the payments of gratuities and offsetting all backlogs, adding that the free education policy have come to stay to build the future of Taraba State children.
