EID-EL KABIR: WAZIRIN MURI TASKS YOUTH ON SKILLS ACQUISITION

The Wazirin Muri, Muri Emirate in Taraba State North East Nigeria, Alhaji Umar Ibrahim has called on the youth to resist all forms of social vices and engage in useful ventures to better their lives. Alh. Umar gave this charge while answering questions from Newsmen shortly after observing this year’s Eid-El-Kabir prayers in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.
He stated that the quantum of youth that pass out from the various universities and other tertiary institutions across the country every year has called for a serious concern and hence the need for entrepreneurship skills among Nigerian youth. Accordingly, he advised Nigerian Youths to always take advantage of skill acquisition programmes introduce by the governments and other organizations so as to learn lots of entrepreneurship businesses in order to better their lives.
“We are in an erra where we don’t have to wait for the government. In fact, government does not have the capacity to employ all the youths that pass out of the various universities and other tertiary institutions across the country.
“No year passes without Nigeria recording over 500,000 youth passing out from the various institutions in the country. So how can the government employ such huge number of graduates every year?” He stated.
Alh. Umar called on the youth to free from cultism, fornication, drunkenness and stealing among other vices and live according to the teachings of the Holy Qur’an to enable them attract blessings from Almighty Allah. He also encouraged youth to obey their parents, show charity at all times and above all cultivate the spirit of praying always in order to please Almighty God.
While wishing the Muslim faithful a blissful Sallah celebration, Waziri charged them to emulate their grant father, Prophet Ibrahim who according to him faithfully obeyed Almighty Allah by presenting his only son for sacrifice as commanded by Allah.
