Taraba bye election: Former commissioner flaunts capacity to deliver PDP

As the by-election for the Federal House of Representative Seat of Jalingo, Yorro, Zing draws nearer, the Former Commissioner of Youth and Sport, Hon Imam Ibrahim has said that he is the most accessible and acceptable candidate which the People’s Democratic Party PDP, can feature to retain its mandate at the elections.
Hon Imam stated this while interacting with Journalists in Jalingo shortly after taking his Sallah prayers.
He noted that the people of the Constituency has so much confidence in him because he had served them dutifully in all th elected and appointed positions he held in the state.
“When I was Member, Taraba State House of Assembly, I built a computer training center which graduated over 500 persons. I also built a Primary Health care Center at Turaki A, ward and a Maternity clinic at santeri.
“I Initiated and facilitated the contract awarded to PW COMPANY to construct drainage from Afolahan Square to Karofi Junction which was awarded by His Excellency, Former Governor Danbaba D Suntai. I Awarded the contract of grading the Nasrawo road and Sabon Layi at Magwoi ward in 2014
“Again, I empowered over one thousand persons mostly youths, through trainings on fishery, poetry, computers and tailoring. Some of them as am talking to you are self reliant. Through Sure P programme, I facilitated and secured a number of tricycles which I distributed to 60 youths across the five wards in Jalingo 1 constituency.
“As a commissioner in the state, I facilitated an SDG programme, through which we can now boast of a Pavellion with a capacity of 200, a basket and Lawn Tennis Court as well as a football pitch among many other projects at Mohammed Nya Primary School, My al ma mata, one of the oldest schools in Jalingo”. He stated.
Imam lamented that the House of Representative Seat of Jalingo, Yoro, Zing had long been in the hands of opposition parties in the state and it was high time his Party, the PDP feature a popular candidate who would deliver it from the hands of the opposition parties as Late Hon. Maihanchi did.
While congratulating the Muslim Umah for their Sallah celebration, Hon. Imam called on them to shun their differences and focus on peace and unity of the state in order to trigger development of the Constituency and Taraba State at large.
Reclled that Hon Ibrahim Imam, is a former commissioner , a one time Minority Leader, Taraba State House of Assembly, Special Adviser on Revenue to the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Chairman, NYSC Governing Board, Taraba State and a Member, Sure-P Taraba State Action Committee.
He is contesting for the House of Representative Seat of Jalingo Yorro Zing in the forth comming bye election under the platform of PDP.
