Taraba: Jauro takes charge of Jalingo LG as Muhammad bows out

Following the inauguration of the 16 Local Government Caretaker Committee Chairmen of Taraba State, Alhaji Jauro Hassan, Monday 5th September, 22 officially took over the affairs of Jalingo Local Government Area from the Head of Administration of the Local Government (HOLGA) Alhaji Isa Mohammed who had been overseeing the affairs of the Local Government Council for the past three months.
At a transition ceremony held at the Local Government Premises, Alhaji Isa Mohammed, the outgoing Overseer of Jalingo Local Government Council, appreciated Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku for the confidence he reposed in him and his team to serve the Council during the transition period between the last administration and the incoming Caretaker Committee.
Alhaji Isa also applauded the the support and cooperation of Security Agencies, Management and Staff members as well as the entire people of Jalingo Local Government whom he said had contributed in various ways towards making his stewardship peaceful and successful.
He pointed out that the tasks ahead of the incoming Committee was a herculean one which demands that they remain steadfast, resolute and determine at all times to enable them succeed in all areas during their tenure of office.
Congratulating the Caretaker Committee, Alhaji Isa Mohammed particularly described Jauro Hassan as a hardworking and committed seasoned administrator who was carefully chosen by the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku to head the council and expressed confidence that he would lift the hopes and aspirations of the people of the council, owing to the track records of his achievements.
While delivering his speech, the new Caretaker Committee Chairman, Alh. Jauro Hassan, applauded Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku for finding him and his vice worthy to pilate the affairs of the Council and pledged that they would ride on the shoulders and legacies of His Excellency, Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku and their predecessors to ensure that the council remain united and peaceful throughout their tenure of office.
“We are indeed highly grateful to His Excellency Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku for finding us worthy to serve in his administration again in yet another capacity.
“We want to assure His Excellency and the good people of Jalingo Local Government in particular and Taraba State in general that we will continue to do our best.
“We will not take the appointment for granted but we will be committed to working hard in order to justify the confidence reposed in us.
- “We will remain loyal, resolute and apt in the discharge of our duties and responsibilities inline with his Excellency’s Rescue Mission Agenda”. He pledged.
The New Caretaker Chairman appealed to Royal fathers, youth, party loyalists, women, political stakeholders and the general people of the Local Government Council to give him and all his committee members the necessary support to enable them succeed in their new assignment.
In his goodwill message, the former chairman of the Local Government, Mallam Nasiru Boboji, congratulated the incoming Caretaker Committee chairman and advised him to among other things, engage Private Public Partnership businesses, Collaborate with North East Development Commission and always think outside the box in order to generate Internal revenue that would facilitate improvement in the economic condition of the people.
Also in their separate messages, the Representative of Emir of Muri, Abbas Njida Tafida, His Royal Highness, Augustine Njenmang Vengkani, Kuru Kona, Kona Chiefdom, His Royal Highness, Galadima of Muri, Alhaji Tukur Abba Tukur, the Hon. Commissioner Ministry of Urban and Physical Development, Saleh Sa’ad, the Taraba State PDP Caretaker Chairman, Hon Inuwa Bakare, as well as the Commissioner for Youth and Sport, Hon. Hassan Bapa all expressed confidence in the capacity of Alhaji Jauro Hassan to effectively run the affairs of the Council and pledged their unalloyed support to his administration.
Untill his new appointment, Alhaji Jauro Hassan was the Executive Secretary, Taraba State Primary Health Care Development Agency (TSPHDA).
