Executive Secretary Taraba State PHCDA receives meritorious service award

The Executive Secretary, Taraba State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Alhaji Aminu Jauro Hassan has received award of recognition of meritorious service from Nigerian Medical Association, Taraba State Branch.

The Meritorious Service Award was presented to Alhaji Aminu alongside ten other personalities at the occasion of the 2021 AGM Annual General Meeting and Science Conference of the Taraba State Branch of Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), held at Doctors House Jalingo.

Interacting with journalists shortly after receiving the award, Alhaji Aminu Hassan dedicated the award to the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku and the teaming population working with him in the agency.

The Executive Secretary who said he was highly honored to have a rare privilege of been recognized by the Taraba State Branch of Nigerian Medical Association also stated that the award was a wakeup call that would strengthen the synergy, collaboration and partnership between his agency and the Nigerian Medical Association.

“I am overwhelmed with joy because the award is coming from my colleagues whom hitter to, our assumption was that they had not taken us into cognizance. I want to believe that with this development, it has send a signal that there is need for synergy, collaboration and partnership with NMA, all for our people to benefit from healthcare delivery across the state”. He stated.

Alhaji Jauro appreciated all the resource persons for all the lectures they delivered at the occasion, especially the lecture on covid-19 collateral damage to the skin, stating that it had availed participants an opportunity to know that the dreaded disease does not only affect only the lungs and other respiratory organs but also the skin which is the largest organ in the body.

The 2021 Annual General Meeting of the Taraba State Chapter of Nigerian Medical Association which lasted for three days was anchored on the theme Covid-19 collateral damage to the skin with a sub theme: Universal Health Coverage: The challenges in Taraba State and the way forward.
