TSHA lauds Gov Kefas for creating enabling environment for inauguration of 10th Assembly

The speaker, Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Bonzena Kizito John has lauded the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas for deliberately creating an enabling envíronment for the inauguration of the Taraba State 10th Assembly.
The speaker gave this applaud at the occasion of his swearing-in ceremony on Friday 2nd June, 2023.
He stated that the Governor’s physical presence at the Hallow Chamber was a practical demonstration of how high he held the Legislature in the scheme of things.
“I wish to very specially commend His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas for deliberately creating an enabling envíronment for the inauguration of this Assembly today.
“The Governor’s physical presence at the Hallow Chamber was a practical demonstration of how high he held the Legislature in the scheme of things. The Executive-Legislative relationship must continue to be cordial and symbiotic”. He stated.
Hon. Bonzena further appreciated all members of the House for the confidence reposed in him for electing him to preside over the affairs of the House and pledged that he would not disappoint them.
He reiterated that his door was still opened anytime for their suggestion where necessary and called for cooperation, support and prayers for the success of the 10th Assembly.
While harping on the State of Taraba state House of Assembly, the speaker identified Poor infrastructure, Lack of office accommodation, Lack of training for both legislators and staff, Unpaid backlog of allowances for the Staff, unpaid arrears of membership fees for Commonwealth and Parliamentary Association both Africa and international among others and expressed confidence that they would collectively surmount them.
Recall that Rt Hon. Bonzena who is representing Zing Constituency for the fifth time, was in December 2022, nominated as speaker of the house after professor Joseph Albasu Kunini, who held the position from December 2019 to 2023 had resigned.
He has been again re-elected alongside his Deputy Hon. Haman Adama, member representing Bali 11 Constituency through a unanimous decision of he 24 members of the Taraba State House of Assembly
