We have made remarkable progress in the College of the Agric-Dr. Garjila.

The Provost, Taraba State College of Agriculture, Science and Technology Dr. Yakubu Ali Garjila has disclosed that, remarkable progress has been made in the College so far in spite of the rising challenges.
Dr. Yakubu made the disclosure in a briefing with Journalist in his office at the College.
The Provost lauded Governor Kefas for his unyielding support to the College, describing him as man with good intentions and concern for education of his state.
Recounting the progress and achievements, Dr. Garjila said, “We have gotten accreditation of our courses that were due for accreditation with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE)since 2023.His Excellency, Dr Agbu Kefas released the needed funds and other resources for us and we were able to do it.
“We have affiliated the College with the Federal University of Wukari and now, we are running about six Post Graduate Courses and they are fully accredited.”
He noted further that, the College has worn a new dynamic look with several infrastructural development projects.
“We submitted request to the past administration for improved infrastructure but it was not attended to until the coming in of Dr. Kefas.
“HE Dr. Kefas in his usual magnanimity and mission to improve Education/learning in the state, has allocated many projects to our school. Out of the seven request we made, he added three bringing it all to ten.
“The projects include, the school clinic, school Library, Male/female hostel, Fire Service Unit, College Main Gate, twenty lecture halls among others.”
The Provost however, highlighted some challenges affecting the College to include, Electricity, mobility for the Students and some principal management staff, College Fence, running costs among other challenges.
“The school is not fenced which to a large extent, does not guarantee safety of our students and lecturers especially those who are domiciled on the Campus. We also need more vehicles for some principal management staff and Bus for our students for their excursions/other necessary Trips. Our students who are staying far from school needs to be assisted with transportation to school with the buses”, he added.
He thanked Governor Kefas for his tireless support to the College especially for releasing official vehicle to him and called on the representatives of the state to the National Assembly as well as well to do sons and daughters of Taraba State to come in and support the college and his Excellency s five finger Agenda of moving Taraba forward.
“His Excellency has already released a vehicle to my office with the promise to release more but if others like our Senators, House of Representatives Members, State Assembly members and other philanthropists in the state can come in to assist with students bus and Fence, it will be appreciated.Just like will see facilities in schools from other States with names of their well to do sons and daughters, it should be likewise in Taraba,” he stated.
He further reiterated his zeal and commitment to place the College on the Arc of World Educational Map.
