Taraba NULGE President-elect commends Gov Agbu, Union, others for free and fair election.

The newly elected President of the National Union of Local Government Employees,NULGE, Taraba state Chapte, Comr. Baju Wakili Damuga has appreciated the efforts of Gov Kefas Agbu for providing an enabling environment that paved way for a free and fair election.

Damuga who passed his vote of thanks while speaking with Worldview Correspondent in Jalingo said the direction and counsel of his Excellency played a key role in the just concluded elections.

“First I want to thank God for showing us a time like this and for the opportunity given to me to also contribute my quota to our great Union, NULGE.

” I must also commend His Excellency Gov Agbu for his sense of direction and counsel which have birth to the peaceful exercise we had. Indeed the Governor is a man of integrity who always wants to ensure that the right thing is done irrespective of who is involved.

“I also appreciate the National President NULGE, Ambali Akeem Olatunji, the Permanent Secretary Bureau for Local Government and Cheiftaincy Affairs, Dr Babangida Hassan, Government functionaries, NULGE leadership from other states, State leadership and members of NULGE, Nigeria Labor Congress, NLC, Trade Union TUC, Security agencies and every person who played a key role in ensuring that the exercise was a success. Your efforts are highly appreciated and recognized” he said.

He also applauded the leadership, members of the union in the state and the general public for the support and cooperation received during and even after the elections.

Damuga assured the union that he will not rest while he is on the seat because his vision is to see a vibrant NULGE that will be the envy of all.

The president prayed the Almighty God to continue to keep the union in a spirit of togetherness so that they can work for the progress of the union.
