By Mohammed Tikka

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Taraba State Council, has extended its heartfelt condolences to the Special Adviser to the Taraba State Governor on Media and Digital Communications, Hon. Emmanuel Bello, over the passing of his beloved mother.

The sad event, which occurred on Sunday, has drawn sympathy from various individuals and groups within and outside the media circle. Leading the NUJ’s condolence was the State Chairman of the Union, Comrade Mathew Eliud Jen, who described the death as a huge loss not just to the Bello family, but to the entire journalism profession in Taraba State.

In a statement released on behalf of the union, Comrade Jen said the deceased mother was a woman who raised a son that has contributed immensely to the growth and development of journalism and public communication in the state.

“We are deeply saddened by the news of Mama’s death. Her passing is not only a personal loss to Emmanuel Bello and his family but also to all media practitioners in Taraba. She was the backbone behind a strong voice in the media sector, and for that, we owe her respect and gratitude,” the NUJ chairman said.

He added that the union recognizes the significant role Emmanuel Bello continues to play in promoting government-media relations and accurate public information, saying his late mother must have been proud of his service to the state.

Comrade Jen prayed for God to grant the family the strength to bear the loss and for the soul of the departed to rest in perfect peace. He also encouraged the Bello family to take solace in the fact that their mother lived a fulfilled life and left behind a legacy of dignity, love, and service.

The NUJ further called on colleagues, friends, and well-wishers to join in supporting Hon. Emmanuel Bello and his family during this difficult period.
