Taraba Lawmaker elect pledges to connect constituency to national grid

The lawmaker elect for Gassol/Bali Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Chiroma Ja’afaru has pledged that he would ensure he deliver the constituency from the shackles of underdevelopment occasioned by lack of electricity in the the area since it was created
Hon. Ja’afaru made the pledged at Tella, his home town shortly after casting his vote at Wuryo Ward of Gassol Local Government Area, Taraba State.
He noted that for decades, the Gassol/Bali Constituency had been in total black out thereby hindering alot of businesses and other useful ventures that would have help the people especially youths, to create jobs and enhanced their standard of living in the area.
In his words, “I will, by the special grace of God, ensure that our constiruency is connected to the national grid. This is most paramount because apart from improving the security situation and enhancing the standard of living of the people, power supply will enable youths to create jobs here themselves and so the number of restive youths would be reduced
” I will also give critical attention in the areas of agriculture, youth empowerment, education, security and women empowerment in the area”. He added
While expressing his desire and passion to be a servant of his people at all times, Hon. Ja’afaru revealed that he left the Nigerian Police Force after serving there for 17 years to join politics with a single aim of getting an opportunity to give his people quality and effective representation.
He stated that he had earlier intervened in so many areas of human endeavour in the constituency including the area of Girl Child Education, Scholarship to students, facilitating the esterblishment of a police post in Tella, provision of access water among many other projects.
He pledging that he would do much more by expanding the projects so that many lives would be touched in the constituency and beyond.
Hon. Ja’afaru commended Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for stepping up to improve on its lapses as that were experienced in the first phase of the 2023 general elections and urged people especially youth to stay away from election fraud and accept the outcome of the elections in good faith, adding that in every contest, there must be a winner and a loser.
“We commenced the electoral processes here as early as possible and we are excited that the process is moving peacefully. We do hope that the peaceful atmosphere will continue up to the declaration of all the results in the state”. He added.
Hon. Chiroma Ja’afaru was ADC to His Excellency, Aminu Waziri Tambuwa of Sokoto State. He embarked on a keen contest for the Gassol/Bali House of Representatives seat, under the platform of PDP with the current House of Representatives member, Hon. Gambo Mubarak of APC and won with a landslide.
