Taraba Government Announces Death of Abuja Liaison Office Permanent Secretary

The Government of Taraba State has confirmed the death of Mr. Dauda Maikomo, who served as the Permanent Secretary of the state’s Abuja liaison office.

He passed away on Tuesday, June 11, after a brief illness.

Dr. Hamidu Ahmed Kara, Head of the Civil Service, issued a statement on behalf of the Governor Dr Agbu Kefas, expressing profound grief over Mr. Maikomo’s passing.

He noted Maikomo’s unwavering dedication to public service and his impactful role in both state and national affairs.

“Mr. Dauda Maikomo was a committed public servant whose leadership and contributions were invaluable. He will be greatly missed,” the statement noted.

The government extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family, friends, and colleagues, describing the loss as a major blow to the state.

The statement also announced plans to honour Mr. Maikomo with a state burial on a date to be announced by the family.
