Briefing newsmen after presenting the gifts to beneficiaries, the Commissioner stated that she was moved to embark on the project owing to the difficult and hard times people are passing through

“If you move round, you will discover that some people no longer afford three square meal. It is not their faults. We all are in difficult situations so I feel I should reach out to some of these less privileged persons, especially now that it is also the period of showing love to one another”. She stated.

The Commissioner said that she had also recognized the commitment of staff members in the Ministry of Women Affairs and Child Development through out the year and so, feels she should appreciate them for what they have been doing, hence the Christmas gifts

“I also feel my staff need to be appreciated and commended for their commitment and dedication to work throughout the year. I don’t have much but I feel that the little that each of them gets here, will be added to whatever they have at home to celebrate the Christmas”. She said

The Commissioner further encouraged others to always give whenever they have the opportunity, stressing that given was an act of God which the scripture encouraged believers to always do to pleased God

While commending the government of Taraba State under the leadership of Dr Agbu Kefas, Mrs SinJen highlighted the free education policy and the reformed agricultural policies of the governor, noting that such policies and many others, being carried out in the state are mind blowing policies that have direct impact on the lives of citizen of the state, which every citizen ought to give maximum support

“Given opportunity to Judge, I will rate Governor Agbu Kefas as the most outstanding governor of our time. Taraba State has never gotten it right as now. Governor Kefas is some one who love to see that things are working in the state. His heartbeat is to see that he touched the lives of citizens of the state. We must support the government to succeed”. She added.

Meanwhile, some of the beneficiaries who spoke to our reporter including Maimuna Shuaibu and Mariam Ali, all appreciated the Commissioner’s kind gesture, praying that God should grant her greater positions in her political career.
