Taraba APC: Our chances have never been as bright as now – Ex-deputy Gov.

From Jethro Yerga, Jalingo

A former Deputy Governor of Taraba State and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC, Hon. Uba Ahmadu Maigari has assured the party loyalists and the people of Taraba State that the chances of the party to wrestle power from the rulling People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the State are wider than ever before.

Maigari gave this assurance at his Jalingo residence while delivering a message to the Muslim faithful, the good people of Taraba State and Nigeria at large on the occasion of the 2023 Eid-el-Kabir Celebration in the state.

He stated that APC in the state is confident of taking over power from PDP because the citizens of the state have much confidence in the party and its candidate, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha and hence, are united for the common goal of wrestling power from the ruling party in the state to bring a new Taraba of their dreams.

“Am confidently telling you with all sense of seriousness that this is the time that APC is going to take over Taraba State. We are set to win both in the state and at the national level. Our candidate in the state, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha is ready to take Taraba to the highest level of development.

“The united force of the party in Taraba State and the leadership qualities possessed by Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha have again, given the party an edge over the PDP and her candidate in the state and so our chances of winning in the elections are now brighter as compared to previous times”. He added.

He revealed that the APC in Taraba State is working in tandem with the national leadership of the party and all the party loyalists in other states to dose the rising rebellions within the party and assured that Social Media and Online Politician would soon find another job to do other than paddling fake rumours.

While debunking politicians whom he tagged as  “Social Media and Online Politicians” which according to him are working on an erroneous belief that APC in the state does not have a candidate, the ex-deputy governor said none of such politicians is neither the National chairman of the party nor an official of INEC and so had no right to challenge the candidate of the APC, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha in the State.

“If Bala Adamu who is the National Chairman of the Party and the National Working Committee NWC of the party submitted Senator Emmanuel Bwacha’s name to INEC as the elected candidate for the 2023 gubernatorial election in Taraba State, it is not within anybody’s power to Just seat and decide for APC who flies the party’s ticket”. He added.

While harping on the level of insecurity that is soaring in the country, the ex-deputy governor noted that the daily rise of insecurity is a sad omen for the country as it affects all sectors of the nation’s economy

He called on Nigerians to collectively join hands with the government to tackle the situation, maintaining that security of lives and property is every person’s business.

Hon. Maigari congratulated the Muslims for passing through all the hurdles of life to witness yet another Salah Celebration and urged them to consider the period as an opportunity to introspect and reflect soberly, even as he encouraged them to demonstrate the spirit of patience, tolerance and love for one another especially now that politics is at hand.
