Regina Mental Health Foundation Set To Host Maiden Mental Health Outreach In Taraba.

A non profit organisation, Regina Mental Health Foundation, known for providing free mental health support for Africans is set to host its maiden mental health outreach in Jalingo, the Taraba state capital on the 14th of December 2024.
The Founder of the Foundation Jubilee Azubike who made this known through a statement that was made available to our reporter in Jalingo,said the venue for the outreach is LT 1D, close to the Old Library, near Col. Agbu Kefas Students’ Park, Taraba State University, Jalingo.
Azubike while lamenting the surge in mental health casualties across the nation due to harsh economic conditions, stressed that it is due to this factor that the foundation is set to provide the youths with needed mental support to live their best lives, especially in this difficult time.
She said the outreach would focus on sensitizing youths on mental health, screening and provision of free counselling and psychotherapy for youths between 15 and 35 years in Taraba state.
“In this very difciult time, it has become neccesary to uplift each other in any way we can and our foundation has chosen to host this maiden outreach out of our concern for the growing mental health casualties across the country and beyond.
“The outreach is set to hold on the 14th December, 2024. With music as one of its core tools in improving mental wellbeing, the nonprofit is set to use music therapy to give the youths an unforgettable experience” She said.
According to Founder, the outreach is to bring about growth and development in the State especially the health space.
