A one time Senator, representing the Northern Zone of Taraba State, Senator Zik Ambuno Sunday, has said that if given the needed cooperation, his led reconciliation team would reconcile the aggrieved members of PDP in Taraba state.
The ex-senator was addressing journalists in Jalingo shortly after his inauguration as the chairman, PDP reconciliation committee, Taraba State.
He assured that all grey areas that led to individuals and groups grievances in the past would be amicably resolved to pave way for peace within the party
He said, “we are determined to work tirelessly to achieve the task given to us. This reconciliation committee has impeccable personalities with proven records of integrity and wealth of experience.
“We are all here ready to discharge our best to bring workable solutions that will propel the party to be even stronger and more united
“I want to call on every member of our great party to give us maximum support and cooperate with us to enable us and our party continue to win in the state.
Earlier in his inaugural speech, the state chairman of the party, Alhaji Abubakar Bawa, had said that the current leadership of the Party in the state places great premium on harmony and peaceful coexistence amongst the leadership and membership of the Party at all levels in the state
According to him, members of the committee were chosen after extensive consultations and purely on the basis of their individual track records, hence, the party was sure of regaining unity subsequently, having continuous victory in all contests in the state
While charging the committee members to bring in their diverse experiences to bear on the progress of the party, the chairman noted that PDP had been the ruling party in the state since 1999 and it was expected that the committee would identify areas where there are issues and worked tirelessly to see that such issues were effectively resolved within one month from their inaugural date.
Recall that the party through its publicity Secretary, Andeta’rang Irammae, had earlier issued a statement indicating the State Working Committee’s approval of a Sixteen man reconciliation committee to address intra–party grievances.
