Our principal has a target, we must support him to succeed – PDP Chair

The Taraba State chairman of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, Alh Abubakar Bawa, has charged appointed political leaders and the people of Taraba State to give maximum support to Governor Agbu Kefas to succeed on the five finger agenda of his administration
The chairman gave this charge at the party’s Secretariat while receiving Advisers of Governor Agbu Kefas and the state exco of Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office
Bawa noted that a system works only when people who desire it to work join hands and contribute their quota for it to work.
He called on the advisers to embrace loyalty and cooperation and to also support the party and the government to succeed.
His words,”whatever you are doing, you should ensure that you support our governor and our party.
“Let us continue to work together as one family to achieve what our principal wants. He has a target and we must ensure that he succeed on the target by contributing our quota maximally”. He stated
Alh Bawa equally charged journalists to always discharge their responsibilities with developmental mindset and shun destructive and unbalanced stories so as to move the state forward
He frowned at the prevalent of quacks and untrained journalists who have abandoned their choirs and embraced reportage of uninvestigated stories without facts and called on officials of the union to always call such erring members to order at all times
While expressed joy for having men of the pen profession with him on a visit, the chairman urged journalists to continue promoting activities of the governor Agbu led administration at all times
Earlier, the Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Digital Communication, Hon Emmanuel Bello said they were at the Secretariat to congratulate and identify with one of their own, who had been elevated to yet another suitable position in the state.
Bello described Alh Bawa as a unifier and compassionate leader with sound mind and pledged that their team would continue to work harmoniously with him to ensure that Governor Kefas succeed in all spheres.
On his part, the chairman, NUJ, Taraba State Council, Comrade Mathew Eliud Jen, said they were in his office to congratulate him on his new office
He commended members of PDP for electing the right person in the position of chairman of the party in the state, stressing that Alh Bawa was one of the prominent members of PDP in the state who had remained in the party steadily since its formation in the state
“We have been following track record of your political career and you remain one of the prominent PDP members who have remain in the party since its formation in the state
“So we are not surprised about your victory and we have no doubt in our mind that with you at the driving seat of the PDP, peace and progress has returned to the party and indeed, Taraba State.
“We congratulate you on this victory and we pray that God in His infinite mercy should grant you more wisdom to succeed in your new office”. He added.
