NULGE AGT. CHAIRMAN LAUDS GOV. KEFAS OVER MINIMUM WAGE INCREMENT

The acting President of the National union of Local Government Employee (NULGE) Taraba state chapter Comrade Yakubu Tanko Burga lauded the efforts of His Excellency the Executive governor of Taraba state Dr. Agbu Kefas over the move towards the implementation of the workers minimum wages in the state. Comdrade Burga expressed this elation while having a chat with pressmen, in jalingo the state capital.

“I want to thank His Excellency Dr. Agbu kefas for the great move and kind gesture toward the workers in the state through the implementation of the minimum wage. We have prayed about this all the way but it never came to pass, not until now in his own tenure, God has decided to make our dream come true.

“We pray that all his good plans for Taraba state should come true. We believe that he has a good mission for Taraba state”. He stated

Comrade Yakubu Tanko Burga, congratulated the Governor of Taraba State Dr. Agbu Kefas as he clocks hundred days in office and commended him for doing well in the first 100 days, adding that they will continue to support him to do more for the state

“Within his few days of assuming the office, we have seen a lot of changes in the state, ranging from issue of minimum wages, pensioners who have even forgotten about their pension are now back on pay roll. His Excellency has also started paying gratuity. These are things we have all forgotten about during the previous administration. Salary areas is another thing we believe the governor is seriously working on and when it finally come to fruition, we would be happy as well”. He added

He added that apt payment of salaries by the present administration is worth hailing, stating that hitherto, it takes days after month end for workers to receive their salaries but it is no longer the case as it used to be as workers receive their salaries at exactly end of month,

The Union leader further called on workers in the state to reciprocate the kind gesture of the governor by supporting him through living up to their various responsibilities.

“It is expected that when you are being paid, you come to work. By so doing, your employer will know that the job he is paying for is being done as well. I call on all Tarabans to give His Excellency their highest form of support ever, because he is someone who have the poor masses at heart as well as the land too”. He added

Yakubu Tanko further encouraged the masses to be patient and keep looking up to God and being loyal to their leaders even in the midst of the economic hardship the nation is facing at the moment, trusting that things would fall in place soon by God’s grace.
