NOT EASY, BUT GOD HAS SEEN ME THROUGH, ANGELA AMISE

It was a moment of joy and celebration as parents and well-wishers converged in the premises School of Nursing & Midwifery to identify with one of the graduands, Nurse Angela Michael Amise Tulari who joined some of her school graduates for a send forth service in the school chapel.

The send forth service was organized by the School overcomers Chapel of the Fellowship of Christian Nurses (FCN).

In his charge at the send forth service, Pastor Joshua Y. Maigandi, Chaplain of the overcomers Chapel of the Taraba State School of Nursing and Midwifery, Jalingo, urged the graduands to be conscious of sustaining their relevance in life.

Pastor Maigandi who took his message from the book of Galatians Chapter 6: Verse 9 and Colossians Chapter 2: Verse 6 and 7, charge the congregation to be focused and principled, adding that success in life is a product of sustained actions. He encouraged the graduating students to know that they have been called by God to save lives, as such, they should place value on human lives, as they have a role to play in the destinies of men.

“Even as you graduate, remain connected to the fellowship. No matter what you become in life, never forget your maker. You should live this life, knowing that your life is a borrowed product and you will one day account for it” He said.

In her goodwill message, Clinical Instructor, School of Nursing and Midwifery, Cecelia Wanfo, enjoined the outgoing students to be good ambassadors of the School as they set their feet on the mark to run into the labour market, hence they will be depending on their independent decisions.

Speaking with our Reporter, the highly elated Miss Angela Amise, said she was grateful to God that she was able to make it in spite of taunting academic challenges. She attributed her academic success to her father, describing him as the backbone of her success in life.

“I feel so excited. It has not been easy. But God has been there for me throughout the study to the end. After God, my gratitude goes to my father. He has been so supportive and very encouraging. I really thank him so much for all he has done for me and I cannot love him less, for he has been there from the very beginning. Even if the world turns upside down, I will still choose him as my father, because he is everything to me and I love him so much.” She stated.

While expressing feeling on her current status as a graduate of the prestigious Nursing profession, Angela Amise expressed hope for a better future.  “… by virtue of my career, I feel like the lives of people are in my hands. I have the responsibility of handling their lives as far as their health needs are concern. I look towards forwarding my education, maybe after working for some months or years”. She stated.

In his remark, Angela’ father, Mr Amise Tulali, expressed his gratitude to God and the efforts that his daughter has made to make the family proud.

“I thank God for his mercies over my life. I also thank him for giving me a child that listens to my advice. A child that has committed herself to make a better future of her life. I’m very proud of her.’ He said.

Tulari advised parents to commit themselves to the education of their children, especially the Girl-Child, saying it’s the only way to make society a better place. The Chanchanji based business man, appreciated friend and relatives who have contributed in one way or the other to ensure that his daughter succeeds in her educational endeavor.

Family members and friends of the Angela who attended the ceremony also gave their words of advice. C.O. John,  Deputy Superintendent of Police, advised the graduating students, specifically Miss Angela, to emulate the principles and ethics of the profession, as they were taught in the School. While wishing her the best in her lives endeavor, the police officer urged her to make positive footprints on the society, saying that as a Nurse so much is expected of her.

Denis Geraga, a retired Superintendent of Police concurred with him. Geraga, who is a family member further advised Angela not only to embrace life with confidence and focus, but to stay on the path of God as she prepares herself for another chapter in life. He appreciated Mr Amise Tulari for making education his children a priority. He enjoined other parents to emulate him.

Younger brother to Angela, Mr Emmanuel Amise, was full of joy as he witnessed his elder sister’s graduation ceremony. Emmanuel, who is a 200 Level Student in the Taraba State University, praised his father for sustaining their academic pursuits, in spite of daunting economic challenges. To his sister, Emmanuel said she has made the family proud and therefore set a record of discipline and academic excellence for the family to emulate.

The event was graced by parents, friends and well-wishers, who came from far and near. Highlight of the send forth service were drama presentation, presentation of certificates and gifts.
