MAMBILLA CULTURAL ASSOCIATION INAUGURATES NEW OFFICIALS

The Taraba State Chapter of the Mambilla Progressive Cultural Association, has Inaugurated new officials to run the affairs of the association for three years tenure.

The inauguration which came shortly after the election of the new exco members at the Multipurpose Hall of the Taraba State Polytechnic Jalingo has Moses Sufa as the President, Bello Tanimu Tittong as Vice President, Hamajoda Yakubu as Secretary General and Linus Buba Yukma as Assistance Secretary.

Comort Jaden was inaugurated as Treasurer of the association, Baba Muhammadu as Financial Secretary while Usman Bakari takes the Position of Assisstance Financial Secretary.

Others are Njilmah Michael Bafari as PRO 1, Salisu Abdullahi as PRO 11 and Emmanuel Mah as Organizing Secretary.
Also Inaugurated were the Exco members of the Youth Wing and that of the Women Wing of the association whose election was conducted earlier. With Zebulum Ngwip as the President of the Youth Wing and Mrs. Rachael Mafang as the President of the Women Wing respectively.

Addressing the new Exco and all other members of the association that turned out for the occasion, the outgoing president of the association, Mr. Markus Babua applauded the unity and cooperation he had received from the members of the association throughout his tenure of office.

The outgoing President who appealed to members of the association to forgive him and his entire exco members any where they might have offended them, equally solicited spiritual, moral and physical support for the new officials to enable them succeed as well.

He charged members to continue to do everything possible to always avoid acting on tribal, sectional and religious sentiments but always embrace peace and love for one another in order to take Mambilla Community to a greater height.

While responding on behalf of their Exco members, the presidents of the various blocks of the association appreciated the peaceful atmosphere through which the election was conducted and pledged to justify the confidence reposed in them.

The president, Rev. Moses Sufa (JP) particularly pledged to run an open door administration. He appealed to members to always call their attention and or put up a constructive criticism anytime his Exco is going astray so that together they would build a greater Mambilla.

He called on the other aspirants who contested keenly with him on the position to consider his victory as theirs and join hands with him to enable him pilot the affairs of the association in a manner that would benefit all members of the association.

While commenting on the election, the Chairman, Electoral Committee
Mr. Isaac Bami appreciated members of the association for the peaceful and matured manner they had conducted themselves during the election and after the declaration of results.

Mr. Isaac who said the election was free, credible and fair called on members of the association to give the new Exco maximum cooperation and support as they did to the successive Excos to enable them serve better in their various offices.
