Lawmaker takes dividends of democracy to door steps of constituents in Taraba

The law maker representing the good people of Wukari 1 at the Taraba State House of Assembly (TSHA) and majority leader of the House, Hon Jethro Yakubu, has taken the bull by its horns since his assumption in office as a lawmaker of the state
Just a year into the office, the lawmaker has done so much not only in the normal business of lawmaking, but he has hits the ground running with mind blowing projects to alleviate some common challenges of the people of his constituency
No wonder, his friends and associates, recently put together a befitting dinner to celebrate his journey so far in the business of law making in the state
Among the mind blowing projects carried out by the majority leader is the introduction of an effective scholarship system for students studying in higher institutions across the state where over two hundred and fifty students are already beneficiaries of the gesture within his one year in office
The majority leader has also reactivated more than two hundred boreholes in the constituency within the year. The people of the constituency are now bubbling with portable water because accessing the crucial commodity is no longer an issue
Hon Jethro Yakubu has on several occasions, provided agricultural imputes such as seedlings and herbicides to over a thousand farmers who can not afford them within the constituency, in order to boost farm produce and ensure food security in the area
This is not to talk of the quantum number of widows and orphans he has supported in various ways to make life better for them and the provision of food items and other packages to the less privilege in the communities
The Lawmaker has facilitated the appointments of many sons and daughters in the constituency within the one year in office aside holding of several security meetings to see that peace prevail in the constituency to allow people go to bed with two eyes closed.
In an interaction with our reporter in Jalingo recently, the majority leader disclosed that he aimed at providing more projects for the people and working relentlessly to ensure that peace prevail in the constituency to enable the government improve the economy of the people
“There are still other community projects that we are planning to execute. We are working hard to complement what the state government is doing. So we are going to sustain the scholarship to students of higher institutions in the state. There are also areas that still need water and we are going to provide portable drinking water for the people of the constituency.
“In the area of health, we planned to carry out a quarterly community outreach to enable us attend to some of these little health challenges our people are passing through. We also have a very robust plan and strategy to empower youths of a particular profession.
“We hope to construct two bridges at Rafinkada aside the one we have already completed and I am sure when the time comes, we will embark on those.
We are going to work together to achieve all these”. He stated.
While congratulating Nigeria at 25, the lawmaker lauded the growth of the nation’s democracy and encouraged Nigerians especially leaders to cultivate a developmental mindset so that working harmoniously would lift the country to a greater height
He called on the people of Taraba State to give overwhelming support to the governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas whom he said has come with good intention to transform the fortune of the state.
“I want to call on the people of Taraba State to support the government of the day. It is very important. If the governor is enjoying our support, he will do more for our people. I encourage my people to give peace a chance and to also support the governor, Dr Agbu Kefas. This man has come with beautiful intentions to build Taraba State. So let’s give him a chance, let’s give him that support so that together, we can build Taraba State”. He stated.
