The Executive Governor of Bauchi State and presidential aspirant on the Platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), His Excellency Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has vowed to resist any brutal enforcement of power in the party’s consideration of who will be the presidential flag bearer of the party in the 2023 general elections.

The Governor made the vow in Jalingo, the Taraba State Capital while interacting with Taraba State deligates, leaders and stakeholders of the party ahead of the party’s primary elections.

Bala who said he is not insensitive to the sensibilities of Nigerians over the issue of zoning and rotation of power argued that, PDP unlike the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC has no justification to insists that it’s presidential candidate must emerged from the South.

“APC has been in power for almost eight years and with the president coming from the North, they have to present a candidate from the South for sake of justice. But PDP had been in power for sixteen years where the North had two years and because of the repudiation of zoning in 2010 which we championed that saw the ascension of a Southern President, we expect that a level plane field be provided by the party so that the best candidate can come in so that we can have a fresh start”.

“Certainly I am not against somebody coming up from the South and becoming a president if I am not chosen. I am a true democrat, and a team player but surely I will resist any brutal enforcement of power in the party. I am ready to work with any body if I am not chosen but choose wisely and choose me”. Bala told delegates..

The governor who said he traverse all the nooks and crannies of the country, maintained that his experience and carrier had placed him in a vantage position where he understands all the diversities of the country including its challenges and solutions.

He maintained that if elected president, he would use wealth of his experience to maximize and harness all the natural resources of the country among other things to better the lives of the citizenry.

Responding, the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku applauded the uncommon leadership style of Governor Bala Mohammed, describing him as a great achiever whose developmental strides in the country would forever remained immesurable.

Ishaku who recalled how he worked tremendously with Gov Bala Mohammed to fix up some decay infrastructures as Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria during President Good luck Jonathan’s administration, remarked that Governor Bala Mohammed is one of the fine brains in the party who are capable of turning the fortune of the country if given the mandate and urged the deligates to consider him as one of their own.

Earlier in his comment, the director-general, Bala Mohammed Campaign, told delegates that they were in Taraba to interact with them and tell them why there is every need for them to chose Governor Bala Mohammed as the flag bearer of the party in the 2023 presidential elections.

The DG described Goveenor Bala as a dislodger of Governors who had dislodged two seating governors in Bauchi State in different elections.

He noted that the aspirant had variously distinguished himself and proven his capacity to fix the problems of this country and urged deligates to choose him to enable him reclaim the nation’s lost glory and satisfy the yearnings of Nigerians.
