GROUP COMMENDS PRESIDENCY, FELICITATES WITH GOV KEFAS OVER NEW AUDITOR GENERAL

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria has been commended for the appointment of the Auditor General of the Federation, in person of Mr Kanyitor Chira Shaakaa Adagba. This commendation was contained in a press release by the Taraba Tiv Peace Advocacy Group, signed by its interim leader, Chief Shaakaa Adagba and made available to Worldview Magazine.
The release also felicitated with the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas as well as the entire people of Taraba State over the appointment, saying that it is another milestone that the state has recorded in the present socio-political dispensation. The new Auditor General of the Federation hails from Kadarko Ward, Donga Local Government Area of Taraba State.
The release said that the President Ahmed Tinubu administration has demonstrated an equitable leadership disposition and fair play in the selection, which according to the Group is the best among other eminently qualified candidates.
“By the appointment of Mr Kanyitor Chira Shaakaa as the Auditor General, the President Bola Tinubu led administration has unequivocally demonstrated its fate, not only in good governance, accountability and selfless service but also its ingenuity in the selection of a credible team that will propel the destiny of Nigerians to the coast of their aspiration” the release reads in part.
AUDITOR GENERAL OF THE FEDERATION
The release extols the virtues of the new Auditor General, describing him as a highly focused, selfless and intelligent young man.
“With him on board, the interest of the country to reposition its values and synchronizing it on the bastion of accountability and integrity would adequately be served. The Young man has the capacity and we believe he will deliver the goods” the release stated.
Elder Shaakaa said, the success story, which Taraba State has recorded at the national arena, would not have been possible without the equitable disposition and spirit of inclusiveness of the Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, as well as the goodwill of the good people of Taraba State. The release quoted a bible verse, alluding that when good people rule a nation, people rejoice and summed up that with Governor Kefas on board, better things will continue to come on the side of the state.
“On this appointment, the people of Taraba state activated their spirit of brotherhood. Their clannish, religious and tribal differences became an insignificant factor. Taraba Tiv Peace Advocacy Group is very pleased with this show of love and uncommon affinity. And we call on the people of the state to sustain the spirit of oneness, as demonstrated in the appointment of Kanyitor Shaakaa for the common good and progress of the State.”
The release said.
Leader of the group, Chief Shaakaa, in the statement, advised the new Auditor General Mr Kanyitor Chira Shaakaa, to make Nigeria his first project and priority in the dispensation of his activities, praying that the Almighty God should continue to bless him and directs his vision on the path of success.
