Gov. Kefas Remodels Taraba Govt House, Renames it After TY Danjuma

Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, has renamed the remodelled Taraba State Government House as TY Danjuma House.
At a ceremony organized by the State Government to commemorate the unveiling of the renamed facility, the Deputy Governor and Chairman of the organizing committee, Alhaji Aminu Alkali, noted that the decision to renamed the Government House after the statesman, was in appreciation of his developmental achievements in Taraba in particular and Nigeria at large
The Deputy Governor stressed the contributions and significant roles played by TY Danjuma to nation building, noting that the landmarks were worthy of renaming the government house after him as a sign of appreciation.
He said the remodeled government house was a testament of good governance and service delivery of the governor it Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas
“The decision to rename Taraba state government House as T.Y Danjuma House is to appreciate his contributions to Nation building and the developmental achievements in Taraba State. This will serve as a form of appreciation for what the elder statesman has done for the development of Taraba state”. He added
Danjuma while speaking at the occasion, commended the governor for taking the decision to rename the facility after him, adding that he was spurred to do more for the state and the country
The elder stateman and former minister of Defense, sued for unity among the people of Taraba State irrespective of tribe and religious background, urging them to support Governor Kefas to succeed
Our correspondent gathered that the governor had remodelled his official residence and constructed other buildings in the Government House including ten office block for Special Advisers, three modern security gates, banquet hall, security and communication office, armoury and a guest house
There is also a fire service station, data technology complex, chapel, warehouse and a modern canteen among other structures
Recall that the state house of assembly had earlier deliberated and passed the request of the governor to rename the state government house after General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, in commemoration to his developmental strides in Taraba State.
