Gov Fintiri Presents 583BN 2026 Budget of Vision For Sustainable Growth and Economic Renewal

The Governor of Adamawa State, His Excellency,Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has presented a five hundred and eighty three point three (₦583.3) billion budget proposal for the 2026 fiscal year to the State House of Assembly.

The budget, titled, “Budget of Sustainable Growth and Renewal,” aims to drive development, improve infrastructure, and enhance the welfare of citizens.

The budget allocates 209,640,415,814 (35.93%) to recurrent expenditure and 373,690,964,682 (64.07%) to capital projects.

It focused on key areas including Education, Health, Agriculture, and Infrastructure development

Education will receive the next biggest share of the budget, with over 40 billion allocated, while health delivery is allocated 31.9 billion.

The government has also prioritized infrastructure development, with major projects approved for roads, schools, and healthcare facilities

The approved projects include the construction of a new High Court complex in Gulak, Madagali LGA, and the Adamawa State Traditional Council Secretariat. The government has also approved the construction of sporting facilities at the College of Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Studies

The budget presentation is part of the government’s unwavering commitment to ensure transparency and accountability in governance.

Gov Fintiri during the budget presentation, emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and security in the state, citing Adamawa’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s most peaceful states.

The 2026 budget is aligned with the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP), ensuring sustainability and value for public spending. The government has emphasized its commitment to fiscal discipline, transparency, and accountability

The budget aims to improve the quality of life for Adamawa citizens, with a focus on infrastructure development, education, and healthcare. The government is confident that the budget will drive growth and development in the state.
