Post tour:FAO, FPMU Teams commend Taraba ACReSAL’s success, hospitality

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the ACReSAL Federal Project Management Unit Teams have lauded the successes recorded by the Taraba State Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes.
Speaking during the event to climax their visitation activities in the State which began since Monday 29th of September, 2015,the FAO Team Lead Dr Precious Agbesor stated that, they were impressed with the successes recorded despite the loopholes.

He maintained that, the State Team is competent and capable adding that, they have demonstrated capacity to drive the project forward.
“I want to thank you for being a very wonderful host. I have traveled to several States of the Federation to this effect but what i have witnessed in Taraba is very exceptional. I have learned a lot from the way and manner that you coordinated your Team and activities, “he remarked.
He however, tasked the State Project Team to address the challenges and gaps earlier identified for the successful implementation and sustainability of the project.
Similarly, Mr. Cyril Bikom of the ACRESAL FPMU, commended the State Project Team and reiterated the need to address the challenges identified for onward sustainability and progress of the Project.

In her remark, the Honorable Commissioner of Environment and Climate change/Steering Committee Chairperson for Taraba ACReSAL Hajia Aisha T. Barde, appreciated the Teams for their significant visit.
She further thanked them for their guidance and technical support and promised to implement their recommendations.
“You will agree with me that we are still in the learning process so challenges abound despite the success story but we shall continue to explore more opportunities to work together, ” she said.
